INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT HEMP

We like fun information that we can share with you. 

*Hemp is stronger than steel if it is harvested correctly

*Hemp (fiber) can be mold, mildew, saltwater, and fire/flame resistant. 

*A type of Hempcrete has gone through ASTM testing in the USA, and scored the best you can with a score of "0", but more research needs to be done on the fire resistance rating.

*Hemp is used in many different ways: smokable, vaping, lotions, creams, clothing, rope, and so much more.

*Hemp does not need to be rotated every year with another crop. Hemp has all of the nutrients it needs for the next year, assuming the hemp is harvested correctly.

*The Magna Carta and King James Bible were written on hemp paper. It is also believed that the first Declaration of Independence was also written on hemp paper (hasn't been proved though).

*Hemp paper has a natural resistance to yellowing and decomposition

*Idaho was the 50th state in the country to legalize industrial hemp

*Delta-9 is LEGAL to sell in Wisconsin if the THC is below 0.3%. This was not a part of the farm bill.

*If CBD comes from a marijuana plant, it is ILLEGAL. If CBD comes from a hemp plant, it is legal as long as the THC is below the maximum requirements. 

*Marijuana and hemp both contain CBD.

*CBD and THC have the same chemical formula. The difference is the way the atoms are arranged. BOTH have 21 Carbon atoms, 30 Hydrogen atoms, and 2 Oxygen atoms.

*As of 11/2023 there is only ONE drug approved by the FDA that contains is cannabis derived, containing CBD. It's called Epidiolex.

                  *There are THREE more drugs approved by the FDA that are SYNTHETIC:

                    1.) Marinol (active ingredient dronabinol {synthetic Delta-9 THC})

                    2.) Syndros (active ingredient dronabinol {synthetic Delta-9 THC})

                    3.) Cesamet (active ingredient nabilone {synthetic chemical structure similar to

                         Delta-9 THC})

*Wisconsin hemp is regulated by the FDA, not the DEA until December 2023
