The Native American Culture has many values and beliefs that may align with your beliefs and values as well. The culture is a very interesting to divulge into. Did you know there are symbolic meanings and importance behind pow-wows, every different dance, and every song that is sung?
Native Americans protect and embrace Mother Nature as a whole. There are symbolic meanings behind certain animals that are sacred to the culture. The eagle is one that you probably have heard of. The eagle, for example, is believed to be the carrier of messages due to its strength and being the "highest flying" bird.
There are natural ways to find and maintain balance, as part of the culture as well. This is in the form of healing.
Did you know that different parts of a specific tribe may have different animals that are a part of different "families"? For example, the Oneida Tribe has a Turtle Clan, Bear Clan, and Wolf Clan. Each clan has a different symbolic meaning, and what it represents as well. Each clan has a clan mother that is appointed with very specific duties/responsibilities, as well as Chiefs, and Faithkeepers.
Ceremonies follow the yearly seasons. Agriculture and the moon are also observed to determine the "perfect time for the ceremony".
The Wampum, or parts of a certain clam shell actually wasn't used in exchange for money. The Wampum actually has several other uses.
At Native Hemp LLC, we take the natural approach to protect the environment, living creatures, beliefs, and implementing natural ways.
I urge you to dig a little deeper into the history and culture, it is truly amazing. You will be surprised at the information you will find. Just using a search engine may lead you to receive inaccurate information. I have provided the official website for more information.
You can find more information about the culture/ways on the official Oneida website:
